I don't know about you, but I like to set goals for myself.
Sometimes big goals, sometimes small, because there are times in life when only small goals are manageable, and that's ok.
The good thing about goals is that the goalposts can move, and if you miss the goal can can shoot your shot again.
Some days the goal is something like world domination, sometimes it's brushing my hair, but having a goal keeps me moving and keeps me inspired.
The best thing about goals is celebrating them and I do think it's important to celebrate when you achieve a goal, whether you're celebrating world domination or brushing your hair. The celebration might look like buying yourself a treat, it might look like dancing a jig in the kitchen. It's all valid and who doesn't enjoy a little positive reinforcement?
My goals for the coming week are…
More early nights. I stay up far too late watching one more episode, when I could be enjoying a wonderful snuggly sleep. Three early nights will be just perfect to begin with.
A new (to me) home cooked meal. I want to try a new recipe every week this year if I can keep it up.
Yoga. I want to do yoga. I have done yoga before and enjoyed it. But I don't make time for it. I can make time, so I will. It will be at home, in my room because I'm not particularly good at it, but there will be yoga.
To be kind to myself because I think we all probably need a little more of that.
Writing every day. Some day I might write 10 words, some days 1000. Writing is something that makes me happy and whether I manage a little or a lot, I will make time for things that make me happy, that's the important thing.
Do you set weekly goals?
What's your biggest goal for the coming week?
If I give these goals a good go I'll celebrate by putting £5 in my treat savings tin.
I think I'm going to make a one pot pasta dish this week. I have found a nice looking recipe on Gousto but I haven't yet figured out how to insert a link so I can't post it yet.
