It's the 3rd day of a new year and Christmas is just a warm and happy memory.
I do love Christmas but it's also a bit of a relief when it's all over for another year. Wizzard might wish it could be Christmas every day, but once a year is exactly the right amount of Christmas for me.
After a festive period of good food, good family time, and plenty of time to read my new books1, while burning my new candles2, I can say, wholeheartedly, that I am very content right now. The year has gotten off to a perfectly good
I am rested, refreshed, full of love, and ready to make 2024 as good a year as I possibly can.
Because I believe that the universe gives you more of what you focus on I am going to focus on all good things for the coming year.
Abundance, happiness, health, wealth and love.
I also believe that the energy you recieve matches the energy you put out so I will be saying yes! yes! Yes! to everything that creates a high vibe, and no! to the low.
Hair today, gone tomorrow?
I'm having a bit of a dilemma at the moment.
My hair is quite long, halfway down my back, but ~ rather boringly ~ I wear it in a ponytail every day.
I don't have the time or the inclination to fuss with my hair, and I have really annoying hair that doesn't do anything anyway. My hair won't hold a curl, a wave, or even stay tidy for a more than a few moments, so every morning it's swept up into a bobble and that's that.
I'm getting tired of it though.
One noment I think I want it cut to shoulder length or maybe even shorter, the next moment I worry I'd miss the way it is.
It's not that I'm an ardent fan of the ponytail, I just don't like change.
How long will it take to grow back to ponytail length if I have it cut short and hate it?
Is it just my recent birthday, or the new year that has me feeling this way, or am I simply ready for a change?
My mum has been suggesting in the way that mums do, that I'm too old to have a ponytail but I don't think I subscribe to the notion that we get too old for a haircut, or a way of dressing. We should be however we are the most happy shouldn't we? So I don't think it's that I'm feeling this way because of my age.
Too cut or not to cut? That is the question.

I'm reading the Myrtlewood mysteries books, I'm almost finished with book 1 and have book 2 ready and waiting. Would recommend!
My new candles are from Naturally wicked. I am a big fan of their candles! I have the Peace spellbinding candle which I'm currently using , and the Power voodoo candle which I'll be using next. (Not an ad).
